Renewing your Broker License

After Completing Your Continuing Education Courses

You may renew your Broker License by mail or online. It is your responsibility to provide the certification numbers found on your Certificates of Completion to the DRE, as the DRE does not accept Certificates of Completion directly from education providers. To download your Certificates of Completion, log in to your Student Homepage or call us at 800.794.0494.

Note: Corporation/Officer licenses cannot be renewed online.

Fees Payable to the DRE

On-time renewal: $300
Late renewal: $450

License Renewal Timelines

Licensees must renew their licenses every four years. Continuing Education Courses may be taken any time in the four years prior to the license expiration date, but the actual DRE renewal may not be filed earlier than 90 days before the license expiration date.

The DRE gives all licensees a two-year grace period after license expiration to complete continuing education requirements and file a renewal. License renewed during the two-year grace period are subject to the late renewal fee.
